Welcome to Dundee and Angus Canicross!
Whether you are new to the sport of canicross and wanting to get started or an experienced canicrosser, you are welcome to join us on our social runs in the local area. You can join us up to three times before you will need to sign up as a member. Membership runs from September-August and is only £10 for the whole year with a reduced rate towards the end of the season.
When do we run?
Thursday evenings – Dundee
Monday evenings – Montrose
Saturday or Sunday mornings – Perth Outreach
Details of each run are posted in our Facebook Group.
We also hold special members-only away runs on the last Thursday of the month and the second Monday of the month along with other runs organised by members in our Members-only facebook group.
What do I need?
-
A suitable canicross belt
-
A bungee line
-
A canicross or suitable non-restrictive harness for your dogs
We do have kit that you can borrow, please do let us know in advance if you will be needing to borrow any kit and be at the run at least 15 minutes beforehand so we can get you kitted out.
Do I have to be fit?
Most of our regular runs are around 5k but we do have some runs which are a series of shorter loops which are ideal if you aren’t up to running the full 5k yet. We also occasionally offer beginners sessions. Keep an eye on our Facebook page for these.
What about my dog?
To run with us dogs must be at least one year of age and be fit enough to run the distance. Unfortunately due to insurance reasons we currently cannot allow any banned breeds to run with us.
Head on over to Facebook and join our Group and like our Page to find our details of the next run!
